Xiaomi is moving to upgrade its Pad 5 from the previous version of Android to Android 12. Currently, European and Global variants will get this update. Right now they are working on a small number of users and going to expand as per the time. Xiaomi Pad 5 started its journey with Android 11 and MIUI 12.5. Now, Xiaomi Pad 5 starts receiving Android 12 with MIUI 13.1 update means ‘old outside but new inside’.
This update also includes the September 2022 security patch. The version number of the Xiaomi Pad 5 is 13.1.1.0.SKXMIXM for the Global units and 13.1.2.O.SKXEUXM for European units. The Indian version of Xiaomi Pad 5 will soon get MIUI 13.1 update with Android 12.
New upgrades mean new changes to devices. MIUI 13 comes with new widgets and improved security smart home integration. It looks like they focused more on Pad through MIUI 13 because it has ‘MIUI Pad’ which is specially designed for large screens.
