Xiaomi made an MIUI-based Alway on Display app for his phones. Normally when we lock the screen it makes it off and when we unlock the screen it makes it on. So the company developed an app called MIUI AOD. It app is able to show notifications, text, and animated clocks over the screen without lighting the whole screen.

This app only works with AMOLED-screened phones because it’s a combination of LED lights that makes it easy to use in a particular place. You can easily on/off if needed. While LCD is a single-paneled screen. Using this concept it shows notifications, and text without using the whole screen.
