For this year the most awaited thing is the Android 14 operating system. As we go towards the end of the year, similarly we are going closer to the stable version of the upcoming OS. Currently, Android 14 is in its Beta phase, and if the recent news is believed, it will come with a feature called the One Tap mute shortcut.
This feature has been spotted in Beta 5. x which will allow users to mute audio with a single click on the icon. Similar to this feature, Google is going to introduce more new and advanced features in Android 14.
Previously to put the phone on mute mode, we had to lower the volume by pressing the down lower button but now we can use an icon to obtain the same result. By clicking on the same icon we can unmute the phone whenever needed.
This feature is very helpful for all kinds of built-in speakers like Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speakers, and Pixel tablet dock speakers.
Google has yet to introduce this feature in Android 13, users can mute audio only by sliding down or taping the left of the bar, which also didn’t let the users go all the way to 0%.
