Recently the company has rolled out a September 2023 patch for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra including some bug fixes to provide greater stability and security. In addition, Xiaomi has also introduced a Custom Refresh Rate feature with this update but not mentioned in the changelog, expected to be available for more devices in the future.

The September 2023 monthly patch for Xiaomi 12S Ultra comes with a build version 14.0.14.0.TLACNXM and its download package size is about 660 MB. Users of this model in China will get a custom refresh rate feature via Over the Air (OTA) update.

Currently, all brands are offering refresh rates in their device varying from 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz. Now, with the introduction of the Custom refresh rate, users can experience smother and faster response time. However, this feature is currently available for Xiaomi 12S Ultra with the latest September 2023 patch.

Xiaomi is expected to extend the custom refresh rate feature to more devices that already support variable refresh rates in the near future. These changes show Xiaomi’s dedication and efforts for their user to improve overall experience and performance
