Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 11 Series. The company working on Redmi Note 12 Series which is expected to be official in China sometime next year and later released in other regions. Now, According to the Digital Chat station, Redmi Note 12 Series is expected to be powered by a newly launched MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 octa-core chip is based on a 6nm process and features two ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores operating at up to 2.6GHz and six ARM-Cortex A55 cores working at up to 2GHz. The Chipset comes with a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. Hence, the Dimensity 1080 is designed to power mid-range 5G devices, and the chipset also supports up to a 200MP camera sensor.

Another leak for the same tipster stated the smartphone’s internal testing with the SoC offers similar performance to the Snapdragon 778G chipset. It reportedly scored over 520,000 on AnTuTu.

Recently, Redmi Note 12 series appeared on the 3C certification website. As per the listing, Note 12 could feature support for 67W fast charging, Note 12 Pro is expected to support 120W and Note 12 Pro+ will get 210W fast charging support.

As for the Specifications of the Redmi Note 12 Series, the source claimed that the device will feature a 50MP ultrawide camera sensor. Time will tell, Redmi Note 12 Series will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 and 50MP ultrawide cameras or not.
