Xiaomi users, we are glad to say that we are not far from the launch of the new MIUI 15, which is expected to be released in November 2023. Last year MIUI 14 was released on December 11, 2022. This year we have some sad news for the users, Xiaomi may remove legacy themes support with MIUI 15.
It is expected that the upcoming MIUI 15 to bring new features and an optimized user interface. In order to do that Company can either improve the previous things or add new changes. In the case of MIUI 15 themes, Xiaomi is betting on new themes and may not allow to use of older themes.
Last year Xiaomi made a huge impact on the market by adding new features like Pets & Plants, Big folder, Super Icons, Tabular Icons, etc. Again this year we are hoping to see some new features in the upcoming MIUI 15. One thing is sure, MIUI 15 is going to improve the overall user experience for all Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices.
MIUI 15 may not support Legacy themes, which is sad news for some users, but in exchange, we will get new and advanced themes on our phones.
But there’s a way of getting these Legacy themes in MIUI 15. After the release of MIUI 15 users can send feedback to the Company to upgrade the Legacy themes for MIUI 15. If they find it convenient then it may be possible.
