Recently, MIUI 15 builds have been spotted for multiple smartphones on the Xiaomi server which leads users to think it will be the next version. Now, the company took users by surprise this morning, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun confirmed that HyperOS will be the next operating system, set to make its debut on the Xiaomi 14 lineup.

Xiaomi HyperOS Operating System

HyperOS is expected to replace MIUI. CEO Lei said that development has officially begun and the newly built operating system will gradually take over MIUI in older models and tablets.

There are a lot of things to reveal in this matter but we expected HyperOS will be better optimized, improve performance, enhanced security, and reliable user interface.

But one thing worth noticing, this is not pure OS. There is still Android-based and whether Android apps work or not we are not sure. In addition, we also do not know whether this new operating system will be available only for China ROM.
