Xiaomi introduced the new operating system HyperOS recently and the update has already started rolling out to a limited number of devices across the globe. Now, Xiaomi seems to have begun working on MIUI 16 aka HyperOS 2.0 which is discovered within the company server by Xiaomiui.net.

However, Xiaomi has changed the name of its operating system publically but the same has not yet happened internally, HyperOS 2.0 internally codenamed MIUI 16.

Currently, HyperOS 2.0 is in its development stage, so it is too early to know what new features and optimizations, Xiaomi will provide with the latest version to its users but one thing confirms that it will enhance the security and stability of the device.

This new version is expected to run based on Android 15, which is an advanced development phase by Google, and the first model to experience will be the Xiaomi 14 lineup.

As per the rumor, HyperOS 2.0 is likely to make its official debut in the last quarter of 2024, alongside its own AI assistant to compete with Google Bard and ChatGPT.
