Xiaomi is developing MIUI 15, to bring more advanced features and tools to its users. MIUI 15 is a 64-bit architecture-based custom skin, to compete in the current market where new apps are being developed on 64-bit architecture. It will also enhance the user experience and increases performance.
As per the latest information after MIUI 15, devices will only support 64-bit-based apps. Means no more 32-bit-based apps.
Currently, more and more apps are being developed on 64-bit, so MIUI 15 will be more compatible with great efficiency, will reduce power consumption, and increase stability and performance.
Moving on 64 bit may cause some discomfort for the users because most of the popular apps are updated to 64 bit but some are left behind. Developers are actively working on it. MIUI 15 is based on Android 14, and it will take some time to enter in the market.
Xiaomi has started testing the latest MIUI version on its unreleased phones like Xiaomi 14 series (flagship) and Redmi 13 series. They could be the first to come up with MIUI 15 based on Android 14.
